I collect Native American postcards and have approximately 4000 featuring Indigenous peoples & cultures of the Americas, north to south. A portion of my research examines representation of Native culture in the media and I am interested in the educational use of postcards as Cultural & Public History/Anthropology. Indian Farewell
A Postcrosser in New Jersey sent me a vintage card produced by Baxter Lane in Texas that she purchased from Ebay, a good source for old postcards! The image and text are a bit silly now but were likely well received in the 1950s and 1960s when tv shows about settlers crossing the American desert were popular:
